Why Missions Matter
About
“In my opinion, a good education is a key to the future success of these kids, especially when that education occurs in a Christ-centered environment. Christian education provides both short-term and long-term benefits. It is our goal that all children educated in these facilities become responsible independent citizens of Belize with a desire to conduct themselves in a Christian manner. Our goal is to impact the lives of the children, their families and their communities through our efforts to provide aid and improve the quality of life.”
RIK SOWELL, AIA
DIRECTOR, IGUANA SQUAD
“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or what kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
FOREST E. WITCRAFT
AMERICAN SCHOLAR, TEACHER AND SCOUT LEADER
"You will never understand your own blessings until you see for yourself how others who are far away live. You will always appreciate God's blessings when you give yourself away in service on a mission trip. Belize provides an opportunity to do both among a grateful people in a beautiful setting"
DR. R. DALE WICKER
PASTOR
FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, CONWAY, AR
“Belize has changed the face of missions for our church like nothing else we have done. We have had great missionary speakers, showed powerful videos, and preached informative sermons. However, anyone who has ever joined The Iguana Squad to Belize has been sparked with an appreciation and zeal for missionary work like nothing else we attempt. With a united heart and many hands, The Iguana Squad has become a means by which our people have great joy in fulfilling the Great Commission. Because of this, I fully support any and all efforts toward our work in Belize.”
