Mission Updates
CAMP LA PAZ AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS PRESENTATION - JUNE 2024
An eighteen-person team from First Baptist Church in Conway AR and The Cove Church in Mooresville NC, conducted community events for the nearby villages. Activities included children’s games, singing, skits, food service and door prizes. The team visited three primary schools in Western Belize and provided a (fake) snow event where the children were taught that they, just like snowflakes, are God’s creation, uniquely different, and equipped for service.
FAMILY AND COLLEGE MISSION - MARCH 2024
Sponsored by Conway’s First Baptist Church, students and families worked in partnership with Kidz Konnect 4 Jesus, serving at the Light of the Valley Primary School in The Valley Community. Activities included Bible lessons, hands-on science and STEM learning, and encouraging teachers, pastors and staff. They also participated in woodworking and sewing training activities at The Crossing, a ministry provided by KK4J.
EYEGLASSES GIVEAWAY AND PLAYGROUND CONSTRUCTION MISSION - MARCH 2024
A five-person team collected 663 pairs of glasses and brought them to Belize for a free giveaway. The response was overwhelming – 475 pairs of glasses were handed out to members of the local community, many of whom were able to see clearly for the first time in years.
Several pieces of playground equipment were constructed, installed and painted at the La Paz Community Playground, which will open free-of-charge to local children through twelve years of age.
CONSTRUCTION MISSION - JANUARY 2024
A sixteen-person construction team from Conway, AR, based at La Paz Mission Center, completely remodeled an existing building into a pre-school classroom for a Christian primary school in the nearby town of San Ignacio.

SURGICAL MISSION – AUGUST 2023
Once again, in cooperation with the Belize Ministry of Health and the Western Regional Government Hospital, we conducted a four-day surgical mission with two of Arkansas’ finest orthopedic surgeons and a top-notch staff from Conway. Hundreds of patients were seen, and about a dozen surgeries on the worst-case patients were conducted.
CONSTRUCTION MISSION – JANUARY 2023
A sixteen-person team worked on the bunk houses at our new facility, La Paz. La Paz is a new ministry center under construction in the village of San Jose Succotz in the western part of Belize. La Paz will house our future mission teams in this part of the country and serve as an extension of our mission work by having our own facilities to better serve the people of Western Belize.
